Ralph McQuarrie’s rough sketch (top) shows the Millennium Falcon landing on a Cloud City platform. The final production painting (bottom) includes a glorious sunset, and shows Lando and company approaching the Falcon to welcome them to Bespin.

When Lucasfilm moved to North Hollywood in 1979, Ralph McQuarrie was commissioned to draw the moving card: this great piece of work was the result.
